Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs
Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs is a quintessential summer meal. Beef hot dogs in the air fryer are delicious on their own but when you add bacon? A whole other level of deliciousness has been unlocked! The bacon gets perfectly crispy while keeping the hot dogs juicy on the inside. Serve on a warm brioche hot dog bun topped with pickled jalapeno peppers, and ketchup, or leave it plain! Either way, this classic meal is ready in 10 minutes and doesn’t require turning on your oven!

Recipe Ingredients
- Bacon – I used beef bacon. The one I buy is from Whole Foods and it acts very similar to pork bacon.
- Hot dogs – All-beef hot dogs are incredibly flavorful and will remain juicy even after air frying. For this recipe, we are making 2 hot dogs but you can adjust the number you make according to however many hot dogs you need/ can fit in your air fryer.
- Hot dog buns – Brioche buns are a favorite because of how soft and fluffy they are. They have a hint of sweetness and taste incredible with the crisp bacon and juicy hot dogs.
- Toppings – Top with your favorites! Ketchup, mustard, chopped white onions, pickled or fresh jalapenos or leave it plain. These air-fried hot dogs taste incredible either way!
How to Make Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs in the Air Fryer
All ingredients, measurements, and instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Wrap each hot dog in a strip of bacon, make sure to not overlap the bacon on itself so it can cook more evenly. Use a toothpick to secure the ends as needed.
- Place inside the air fryer basket then cook until the bacon is crisp and cooked through and the hot dogs are sizzling.
- Place bacon-wrapped hot dogs on warm brioche buns then serve with your choice of toppings. Enjoy!
What to serve with Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dogs
- Homemade chili, the smoky flavors of the hot dogs and bacon would taste so good topped with chili.
- Creamy coleslaw – the perfect summer BBQ pairing!
- Homemade BBQ sauce – another great smoky savory combo.
- Pickled or fresh jalapenos
- Green Beans with Mushrooms
- Kale Crunch Salad
- Potato chips
Tips and Tricks
- Don’t use thick-cut bacon, otherwise, it won’t be done by the time the hot dog is heated through.
- Don’t overlap the bacon when wrapping. The bacon won’t be in the air fryer for that long, so we want it to cook evenly and quickly.
- Use toothpicks to secure the ends of the bacon so it stays on the hot dogs. Remove before serving.
- If you are making a larger batch of hot dogs, leave some room around each one so that the bacon and the hot dogs crisp up instead of steaming.
Frequently Asked Questions —
By using a toothpick! I used 2, one for each end. After the hot dogs are done you can easily remove them and everything will still hold together.
