How to Make An Iced Blackberry Matcha Latte

- Blackberry syrup. Start by making the blackberry syrup. To a small saucepan add fresh blackberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice and water. Stir then bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, this takes about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, cover the pot then allow it to steep for 20 minutes. Strain blackberry syrup into a small bowl or mason jar and allow it to chill until ready to use.
- Matcha latte. In a small mixing bowl combine matcha green tea powder and warm water. Whisk in a “W” pattern with a bamboo whisk or electric milk frother until foamy.

- Add all of the ingredients for the blackberry simple syrup into a small saucepot. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes or until it comes to a gentle simmer. Remove from the heat, cover the pot then allow it to cool for 20 minutes. Strain syrup into a pint-sized mason jar or small bowl. Allow it to cool to room temperature then store in the fridge until you’re ready to use it.
