We all know that green tea has great health benefits. It’s full of antioxidants it’s great for your digestive system and it tastes great too! This mint green tea recipe is cold and refreshing. The herby and slightly smoky flavor of the gunpowder green combined with a nice fresh mint flavor is just the best. Lightly sweetened it has just the right amount of flavor and when served over ice it hits the spot every time.
And also don’t limit iced tea to only the spring and summer time, a cool glass of this iced tea is totally perfect on slower/lazy days, even in the winter time!

Key Ingredients in this Iced Green Mint Tea recipe:
Green tea bags - I used this gunpowder green tea from Numi. I love it best for this recipe and I find that this type of tea doesn’t have a bitter green tea flavor. You could also use your favorite green tea instead.
Fresh mint leaves - the star of the show. The freshness of the mint really brings the taste of this iced green tea to the next level. Pro tip: muddle or bruise the mint leaves before steeping them. This helps to bring out more of their minty flavor into the tea.
Cane sugar - I like my iced tea lightly sweetened so I just used ⅓ cup. If you prefer a sweeter tea use up to ½ cup of sugar.
How to Make Iced Mint Green Tea:
Step one: To a mason jar add green tea bags, fresh mint leaves that have been muddled/bruised, and boiling hot water. Cover and allow to steep for 20 minutes or until the fresh mint leaves are no longer green.
Step two: Strain out the mint leaves and tea bags. Stir in the sugar. Serve immediately over ice or refrigerator the mint green tea until completely cold. Serve and enjoy!
