Recipe Ingredients

Raspberries – Use fresh or frozen raspberries.

Cane sugar – Sugar or honey is needed not only to sweeten the frozen yogurt, but it also ensures the frozen yogurt will be soft and smooth. Otherwise, the yogurt will become very icy, which isn’t what we want.

Vanilla yogurt – Vanilla yogurt makes this raspberry frozen yogurt soooo good. It’s lightly sweetened, so if you are using plain yogurt or Greek yogurt add a little extra sugar to your taste. If using Greek yogurt, add a bit more sugar since Greek yogurt can be very sour.

How to Make Ninja Creami Raspberry Frozen Yogurt

All ingredients, measurements, and instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Mix fresh or frozen raspberries with sugar in the Ninja Creami Pint Container. Allow it to sit for 10 – 15 minutes to allow the berries to become juicy. Use a fork or a potato masher to smash the berries a bit more then stir in yogurt. Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking. Then top with a lid and freeze for 24 hours.

The next day, spin in the Ninja Creami Ice Cream Machine using the “Lite Ice Cream” setting. Allow it to run through the cycle. If your raspberry frozen yogurt is a little crumbly you can respin it with a small scoop of yogurt or milk using the “RESPIN” setting until it reaches your desired consistency. Scoop and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt or plain yogurt, ¾ cup if using Greek yogurt

Instructions

  • If using fresh raspberries, make sure to remove any moldy ones first, then rinse them really well.
  • If using plain yogurt, add an extra 1-2 tablespoons of sugar.
  • Add 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen raspberries into the Ninja Creami pint container with 4 tablespoons granulated sugar. Mash berries with a fork until they are juicy and have reduced in volume by half. If using frozen berries, allow them to thaw for 10 – 20 minutes first.
  • Stir in 1 cup vanilla yogurt until combined. Taste and add more sugar if you like.
  • Top with a lid, then freeze on a level surface for 22 – 24 hours.
  • The next day, insert the pint container into the Ninja Creami outer bowl, then blend using the “Lite Ice Cream” button. This cycle usually takes 2 minutes.
  • Enjoy, or respin as needed with a splash of milk or a small scoop of yogurt until smooth and creamy.

Notes

How To Store/ Make Ahead

If your leftover frozen yogurt is too hard allow it sit at room temperature for 5 – 10 minutes before enjoying. Or you can “RESPIN” it for a softer consistency.

Tips and Tricks

  • Sweetness when using Greek yogurt: Use 6 tablespoons of sugar if using Greek yogurt, since it’s more sour than regular yogurt.
  • Yogurt: This recipe uses regular yogurt. Since regular, unstrained yogurt contains a high amount of water, more sugar is used to ensure the frozen yogurt is soft and smooth. Greek yogurt is thicker and creamier but it can be very sour, so just add enough sugar/sweetener to your liking.
  • Adjust the sweetness of your frozen yogurt depending on how sweet or tangy you like it. Taste the mixture before freezing to make sure it’s just the way you want.
