Why This Recipe is So Good
- No simple syrup – The sugar gets added to the green tea so there’s no need for a simple syrup.
- It’s so easy to make – The strawberries are blended using either a food processor or a blender then after the green tea cools off, everything is combined in a large pitcher and served over ice. This recipe takes about 20 minutes to make and yields 10 cups of strawberry green tea lemonade. Double or triple this recipe if you’re making lemonade for a crowd. I doubled it for my family and it was a hit!
- It’s sweet and refreshing and filled with real ingredients like strawberries, lemon juice, sugar and green tea. This iced strawberry lemonade with green tea doesn’t contain any artificial colors or flavors. Many store-bought drinks and refreshers contain tons of added sugar and not good-for-you ingredients, so making your own lemonade at home is sooo much better and tastier too!
Recipe Ingredients
Strawberries – You can use fresh or frozen strawberries. If using fresh, just make sure to rinse them really well and hull them first, or cut off the green leafy part.
Green tea – I used regular sencha green tea bags. Whole leaf tea or gunpowder green tea would taste delicious too!
Sugar – Regular white granulated sugar or cane sugar. Use honey or stevia to make it refined sugar free if you like.
Lemons – You’ll need 6 – 7 large lemons to get enough juice for this green tea lemonade. Use a manual citrus juicer to make this step much easier.

- Sugar – Use white granulated sugar or cane sugar. Make it refined sugar free by using stevia or honey instead
- Green tea – regular sencha green tea or gun powder green tea bags
- Lemons – Use large lemons with thin skin these usually have more juice and less pilth(the white part of the lemon). Allow the lemons to come to room temperature and roll them before cutting and juicing them.
