Easy Homemade No Buttermilk

Step 1. Gather all the ingredients. Season chicken with a sprinkle of salt.

Step 2. Set up drenching stations - it will make battering chicken much easier.

Step 3. Coat chicken in flour mixture first.

Step 4. Then into the egg mixture.

Step 5. Coat in the flour mixture one more time then set on wire rack. Repeat with remaining chicken. 

Step 6. Fry until golden brown in cast iron skillet. 

Add carrot to  help keep oil clean.

Step 7. Drain on wire rack.
