Black Walnut  Ice Cream

Creamy With A Nutty Crunch!

Recipe Ingredients - Heavy Cream - Whole Milk - Black Walnuts - Egg Yolks - Vanilla Bean Paste - Cane Sugar - Salt

Step 1. In a large bowl add cane sugar and egg yolks.

Step 2. Whisk eggs and sugar together until light and creamy.

Step 3. Heat cream, milk, vanilla extract and pinch of salt until hot.

Step 4. Slowly add hot milk/cream to eggs a little at a time, whisking until combined.

Cook mixture until thickened.

Step 5. Strain ice cream to remove any egg chunks.

Step 6. Chill until completely cold.

Step 7. Churn ice cream until smooth and creamy.

Then add black walnuts

Step 8. Freeze ice cream for at least 4 hours.
