Butter Pecan  Ice Cream

Homemade and perfect for summer!

Recipe Ingredients  - Cane sugar - Egg yolks - Milk - Cream  - Vanilla extract - Butter - Pecans 

Step 1. In a large bowl add cane sugar and egg yolks.

Step 2. Whisk eggs and sugar together until light and creamy.

Step 3. Heat cream, milk, vanilla extract and pinch of salt until hot.

Step 4. Slowly add hot milk/cream to eggs a little at a time, whisking until combined.

Cook mixture until thickened.

Step 5. Strain ice cream to remove any egg chunks.

Chill until completely cold.

Step 6. Toast chopped pecans with butter and salt. Set aside to cool.

Step 7. Churn ice cream until smooth and creamy.

Then add in the cooled butter pecans.

Step 8. Freeze ice cream for at least 4 hours.
