This Ninja Creami cookies and cream ice cream is an oreo lovers’ treat made with few just a few simple ingredients! This homemade oreo ice cream is made with sweet and bold vanilla ice cream mixed with crushed oreo cookies. It’s a creamy and deliciously indulgent treat!
In a medium mixing bowl combine softened cream cheese and sugar together with a spoon until well mixed and there aren’t any streaks or chunks of cream cheese.
Slowly whisk in the milk making sure everything is well incorporated. Now add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until combined.
Pour the ice cream base into a pint container. Top with a lid then freeze the container on a level surface for 22 - 24 hours.
The next day, remove the lid then insert the pint container into the Ninja Creami outer bowl and then into the machine. Press the ICE CREAM button then let it run through the cycle - this should take under 2 minutes to complete.
Remove the container from the machine then using a spoon make a hole in the middle of the ice cream 1 inch wide all the way to the bottom of the container. Press the broken Oreo cookies into the hole. Return to the machine then press the MIX-IN button and let it run through the cycle.
Scoop and serve your Ninja Creami Oreo Ice Cream by itself or with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to soften the cream cheese to room temperature or warm it up in the microwave or on the stove before combining it with the sugar to avoid chunks of cream cheese in your ice cream. If your ice cream isn’t smooth after the first cycle through the machine run it through the RE-SPIN cycle with a splash of cream or milk until it reaches your desired consistency. After mixing in the Oreo cookies, your ice cream will have a very soft texture. If you want it a bit firmer, place your pint container back into the freezer for 30 minutes - 1 hour before serving.
