Your favorite dip is simple and easy to make using only 4 ingredients! This 4- ingredient guacamole recipe is made with ripe avocados, chopped red onion, fresh lime juice, and salt. That’s it! It’s creamy, zesty and so full of flavor. It’s just waiting to be enjoyed with corn chips, or used as a topping or side to Cheesy Beef Enchiladas, Skillet Beef Fajitas, tacos, or salads!
Cut avocados in half then remove the pits and scoop out the flesh into a large mixing bowl. Use a potato masher or a fork to mash the avocados until creamy with a few chunks.
Next stir in the fresh lime juice, diced red onion, and salt. Taste to adjust the seasoning as needed. Add any optional ingredients if you like.
Serve immediately with corn chips or veggies, as a side dish or as a topping for burritos or tacos.
To Store/ Make Ahead: Squeeze about 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice over the surface of the dip, then gently press plastic warp directly to the surface making sure there isn’t any air trapped underneath the plastic to prevent browning. Refrigerate until ready to serve and enjoy.
Notes
All nutrition information is a rough estimate and this recipe card may contain affiliate links. Keep for 3 - 5 days in the refrigerator. After 3 days your dip might start to turn brown(avocados oxidizing) but it’s still ok to eat as long as it tastes ok and isn’t moldy or anything like that. Pro TipsIf you decide to add some of the optional ingredients to your guacamole dip you might need to add another 1 tablespoon of lime juice to your guacamole. If you use a guacamole seasoning that contains salt, omit the salt from this recipe or season your dip to taste.
