Peaches have to be one of my favorite summer fruits. They are always so sweet, and juicy, with a nice bright red and orange color. And they smell wonderful. Fresh and frozen peaches are one of my favorite fruits to bake with and I have a couple of peach recipes that you might like – my famous Peach Cobbler and Peach Crisp.
This Lipton peach sweet tea is made by first making a peach syrup using fresh peaches, then blending the peaches and adding it to freshly brewed Lipton black tea. The sweetness of the peach syrup is the perfect complement to the slight bitterness of the black tea. It is a light and refreshing summer drink that everyone will love! Especially if you are a fan of peaches!

Key Ingredients in this southern peach sweet tea
Fresh peaches
Use ripe organic peaches because they will have the best flavor. You can also use organic frozen peaches if you like.
Cane sugar
It isn’t as processed as regular white sugar. It gives this peach tea a wonderful sweet flavor.
Black tea
I used Lipton tea but any black tea would work!
How to Make Iced Sweet Peach Tea:
Step One. Add the chopped peaches, cane sugar, and 1 cup of water into a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil then turn off the heat, cover the pan and allow the peaches to steep in the syrup for 30 minutes.
Step Two. Add 3 black tea bags to a mason jar with 3 cups of boiling water. Cover and allow the tea to steep for 20 minutes. Squeeze the tea bags then discard them.
Step Three. Strain the peaches out of the syrup and into a blender. Mix until smooth.
Step Four. In a large mixing bowl or pot add the blended peaches, syrup, and steeped tea. Mix until combined then strain to get rid of any peach chunks or peach skin.
Step Five. Transfer the peach tea into mason jars or a pitcher. Chill until cold. Serve over ice with fresh mint leaves and sliced peaches. Enjoy!
