You’ll love that this strawberry banana blueberry smoothie is made without yogurt. So if you aren’t a fan of the taste of yogurt in your smoothies or you’ve simply run out, this smoothie is a great one to try!
Recipe Ingredients
- Ripe banana – use a fresh or frozen banana cut into slices or broken in half. This will give your smoothie a thick and creamy texture since we aren’t using yogurt.
- Frozen blueberries and strawberries – give flavor, a natural sweetness, and a lovely color to this smoothie. Frozen fruit also helps to give a thicker smoothie consistency.
- Milk – whole milk or your favorite non-dairy milk.
How to Make This Blueberry Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Milk
All ingredients, measurements, and instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Step one. Into a blender add your frozen fruit and milk.
Step two. Top with the lid then blend until smooth.
Step three. Pour the smoothie into your favorite serving glass. Serve by itself or with chia seeds, flaxseeds, blueberries, or sliced strawberries or bananas. Enjoy!
Variations
- Serve with a dollop of peanut butter or almond butter
- Chia seeds, hemp hearts or ground Flax seed. I love to use golden flaxseeds because I find that they have a better flavor.
- Unsweetened soy milk, coconut milk, oat milk, or almond milk (my personal favorite) instead of dairy milk
- A scoop of your favorite protein powder
- Instead of milk use orange juice as the liquid for the smoothie
- If your frozen fruit isn’t super sweet, add a drizzle of maple syrup or local honey for some extra sweetness.
Recommended Tools
High-powered blender, we love this one and use it almost daily and it comes with a travel lid.
Glass straws, I love these straws from this vintage glass set.
Tips to make the best smoothie
- Use frozen fruit for the best texture. Fresh fruit can make the smoothie a bit thinner.
- Avoid using ice cubes in your smoothie, while they can help keep your smoothie colder it will also water it down.
